This CRM tool comes in two versions. One is a web based version and another is based on a internal server of an organization that operates over the corporate network. The Internet version lets you connect all your computers, laptops, smartphones or iPads/tablets over the internet. This lets an organization share contacts, tasks, orders, emails and much more from anywhere in the world. If the organization works over multiple locations within a country or over different countries, this is a convenient arrangement to work with. When parts of your organization work in different countries or provide products and services over 24 hours, this arrangement can help. With increasing use of the mobile devices, employees could work from anywhere. The browser becomes the convenient interface to the program. Employees who are on the road often, particularly the sales and marketing staff could access the relevant data quite easily.
In the offline version all the devices need to be connected through the network to have access to the corporate data when needed. These machines then can share contacts, tasks, orders, emails and much more. Direct mailing campaigns through email will be possible quite easily. If you are concerned about data security, this configuration gives you complete control. Through this configuration you could share data at work, on your laptop on the road and at home. Sharing of documents between distant parts of the company can be handled through Dropbox and SkyDrive. No special server configuration is required for the Desktop and Network option. Any computer on the network can function as a server if need be. This is a very good tool and can be used to support CRM functions for an organization.
